Seoul Myeong-dong UH Suite Seoul Deoksugung Hotel Review and Experience

Location of the hotel is great! Walking distance from Namdaemun Market, Myeongdong Street and there’s a train station (City Hall) just opposite the hotel. Very clean and cozy! Staffs are friendly!

In August, I stayed for three nights with my family of five.

To conclude, if you’re staying with multiple people, this is the only choice. I will definitely use it again. The cleanliness was exceptional!

The rooms were divided into several spaces, each with two toilets and showers. There was a large refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, IH kitchen, and plenty of outlets, making it very convenient.

Every day, they provided free towel exchanges, trash disposal, and replenished 500ml bottles of water (about six bottles). There were sufficient towels, with eight bath towels and eight face towels provided.

Additionally, laundry services were free, and if you handed in your laundry in the morning, it would return to your room neatly folded by the evening. (You can request it anytime between 8 am and 3 am.)

The location is excellent, just a 15-minute walk to Myeongdong, a 10-minute taxi ride to Seoul Station, and about a 2-minute walk to City Hall Station. Within a one-minute walk, there are convenience stores like 7-Eleven, GS25, Olive Young, and an abundance of restaurants including kimbap shops, bakeries, barbecue places, porridge shops, chicken joints, and cafes.

Communication with the staff was primarily via LINE in Japanese. The staff changed each day, but everyone was kind, and some were fluent in Japanese. There were times when arranging a taxi locally was challenging, but everything was handled through LINE, ensuring safe arrangements regardless of the pickup location (no overcharging).

You can also place delivery orders at the front desk. When I ordered chicken and bossam, it was delicious, and they guided me to recommended kimbap shops.

The only concern was that staff were only present at the front desk from 8 am to 3 am, so you couldn’t make inquiries during that time. I was worried in case an issue arose, but I didn’t encounter any problems.

This was the first hotel with such high hospitality I have experienced, and I am truly grateful.
