Star Hostel Dongdaemun Suite Seoul Accommodation Review - Jongro Area Hotel Review

What can I say, it’s close to the station! Close to Gwangjang Market! Also close to a convenience store! (There are a few suspicious shops between the convenience store and the hotel…) Since I had a room on the first floor, it was convenient to go out or to the basement. I could hear other guests’ voices during check-in, but it was very quiet at night. The building looks old, but it has been nicely renovated.

As for the downsides:

1. As shown in the photos, there’s no curtain around the shower area, so be careful or the toilet floor and even the toilet itself will get wet.
2. There’s no lighting around the bed, so it’s inconvenient to go to the bathroom at night.
3. Perhaps this is normal in Korea, but it takes about 5 seconds to switch TV channels.
4. This was a pleasant surprise, but the outlets are compatible with the Japanese Type A plugs. (The C and SE types I brought were unnecessary…)

Despite these issues, I would definitely like to return on my next visit to Korea. Thank you to the staff member who resembled Yuki Tsunoda for three days!

Nice place to stay for one night but sadly no elevator and at night the alley to hostel quite dark and scary if alone

location near subway sta and gwangjang market. breakfast is great.clean and staff friendly.will stay again
