Seoul Songpa Hotel The Castle Jamsil Hotel Review and Experience

Perfect location near Olympic Park & Lotte Mall. Excellent stay — very clean, all essentials in the room, and everything feels new with fresh furniture.

I came up to Seoul for work and booked a place in Jamsil to briefly meet up with friends after finishing work on Friday. The food alley in Bangi-dong is great, but it’s hard to find parking for the car… All the hotels have check-in after 10 PM, and I dislike motels… However, this place has a good price, clean facilities, and check-in starts from 1 PM, so I booked it right away. Once I checked in, I realized I could easily get to the food alley, which was nice. I plan to stay here again next time I visit Jamsil!

I used this hotel for a solo trip as a Japanese girl who loves Pokémon. Since Lotte World was having a Pokémon Halloween event, I chose this hotel which is conveniently close to Chamshil Station. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, and there’s a convenience store nearby, making it very convenient. As mentioned in other reviews, it seems to be near a love hotel district, with buildings that look similar diagonally across the street, but I didn’t have any safety issues or strange encounters at all! (I returned around 11 PM.) Agoda stated that check-in is available 24 hours, but it seemed to only be until 8 PM, and I received a message after making the reservation. When I replied that my flight arrives at Incheon Airport at 8 PM and I would get there around 10 PM, they confirmed that it was okay, so there were no problems at the location. It seems like there is always someone at the front desk, and I received a written explanation in Japanese, which was very reassuring. The room was quite spacious, had a bathtub, and was very comfortable. I would like to use it again when I come back!
